【Visit to Hainan (28 to 30 August) 】

 

 

In October 2018, the State Council unveiled the blueprint to establish Hainan province as a free trade zone ("FTZ") in its latest move to open up the economy. The strategic positions of the Hainan FTZ include a pilot zone for a comprehensive reform and a zone offering services and support for the country's major strategies. In view of the province's market potential for our members, we led a 20-member delegation, of whom 2 are junior members under Law Society sponsorship, to visit the Hainan FTZ from 28 to 30 August. On 29 August, We jointly organised a full-day seminar for local enterprises and lawyers with the Hainan Lawyers Association. We have also had fruitful exchanges with our Hainan counterparts exploring opportunities of mutual collaborations on business development of legal practices in both jurisdictions
